Unusually, Drummohr is one of the few campsites open all year in Scotland which means you can enjoy camping Edinburgh in Autumn and Winter. We also offer Christmas camping and have Winter seasonal caravan pitches. With events such as the Edinburgh Festival, Edinburgh marathon, Edinburgh Christmas markets or Princes Street Hogmanay celebrations, why not stay at our beautiful campsite near Edinburgh.
There are two spotlessly clean amenity blocks and plenty of close reach drinking water & waste disposal and recycling points. There is also a small shop, laundry children’s playground and Information Point on site. We hire fire pits (guests are not allowed to use their own) but do not allow open fires and there are no gazebos or generators allowed on site.

Our peaceful and picturesque Edinburgh campsite is ideally placed to explore the attractions of Edinburgh City Centre, the beautiful beaches, attractions and harbours of the North Berwick coastline, play a round on one of Scotland’s most famous golf courses and the East Lothian countryside. However, with the shores of the Firth of Forth and the Levenhall Links nature reserves a mere 5-minute stroll away you can stay occupied when camping Edinburgh without venturing too far. It’s a lovely walk to Musselburgh and you can always get the bus or a taxi back. The scenic outdoor Preston Grange Mining Museum is opposite the Drummohr campsite and is free to visit all year round. It provides some fascinating information about the industrial heritage of the local area.
