How do I enjoy What's on in Edinburgh without using my car?

Edinburgh is only 10 miles from Drummohr. When staying at our Edinburgh campsite guests can make use of Edinburgh public transport and either travel by:

• Bus - the bus stop is a 5 minute walk, the journey takes around an hour, stopping on Princes St and buses run all night; dog friendly buses Edinburgh
• Train - Wallyford train station is a 20-minute walk, trains run every hour or so and take 10 minutes into Edinburgh Waverley. There is a large free park and ride at the station; dog friendly trains Edinburgh
• Taxi - the cost of a return taxi or Uber is around £30 if you are attending a late event
• Cycle - the John Muir Way  and a traffic free, flat cycle route of around 6 miles follows the shoreline of the Firth of Forth to Edinburgh

Whilst in Edinburgh guests can enjoy:

• International festivals - visit the Edinburgh Festival City website 
• Musical theatre and shows at Edinburgh Playhouse or Lyceum Theatre
• Comedy events 
• Pop concerts at the Usher Hall or stadium events at Murrayfield

• Edinburgh Marathon Festival takes place in the last Sunday in May and with the finish line in Musselburgh, Drummohr is ideal accommodation for the Edinburgh Marathon for runners and spectators alike. Please book early as we do fill for the Edinburgh marathon.
