Benefits of Easter Camping

There are so many advantages of taking family breaks UK and for many families glamping for Easter is their first opportunity to get away. Easter marks the perfect time to shake off winter and embrace the fresh energy of spring — and there’s no better way to do that than with an Easter camping or glamping break at our Edinburgh campsite. Whether you’re seeking quality family time, a romantic getaway, or simply a change of pace, glamping ofr Easter at Drummohr offers relaxation, nature, and adventure all rolled into one.

Tips for Easter camping

  • Come prepared and pack for all weathers especially if Easter falls in late March. The days may be cool or there may be a Spring shower. If you don’t fancy bringing your tent our Hexi glamping pods or family bothies with WC are a great value for money alternative
  • Stay warm - our touring and tent pitches have electric so bring a heater if you have one. We offer fire pits for hire for the evenings. What can be better than reflecting on the day with some toasted marshmallows? Warm and waterproof clothes and a blanket are also recommended
  • Bring books and board games for the children, although we do have some available in our Information Room if required
  • If you are planning on visiting one of the East Lothian beaches, make sure you pack sunscreen.

Drummohr is ideal for Easter camping and there are many free days out in Edinburgh that are perfect if the weather is not too kind.  The bus stop to Princes St is a 5-minute walk from the caravan sites entrance and takes around an hour. The train station at Wallyford is about a 15-minute walk and trains run every hour to Edinburgh Waverley.
